Rules of the policy

  • Cover is provided on a monthly basis. No reserves are built up and therefore no surrender values are payable when cover ceases.
  • Minimum entry age is 18 years old and maximum entry age for main member is 70 years old.
  • This is a voluntary group scheme.
  • Maximum cover per policy under this scheme: R90 000.00.
  • A general waiting period of 3 calendar months and, if a potential member is pregnant, 6 months from date of birth of the child.
  • Membership can only commence on the 1st day of the following month.

Сlaims

As soon as possible after the claim event and within the time period limits set out in the policy schedule, the principal insured should notify the insurer of the event and complete a claim form. Notification and submission period from the date of the event should be 2 calendar months from the date of the claim event.
